Schools More Worried About Tuition Fees Than Ethics of Children

Srinagar , April 26 :

Kashmir received repeated calls from the parents of school going children who blamed that the addiction of mobile phones due to ‘Online Classes’ has made their wards prone to unethical content.

They added that appearance of ‘Nude Pictures’ while searching the educational related content has caused grave concern among them about the ethics of their children.

“ They are in such an age that they can hardly make difference between right and wrong, absence of parental control makes them more vulnerable to pornographic content” said Manzoor Ahmad, one of the aggrieved parent.

He added that the children have now become very addicted to mobile phones and internet as under the garb of the ‘Online Classes’ parents are unaware about their activities, he rued.

Most of the parents are of the view that children are busy in watching cartoons and playing game rather than doing any constructive or fruitful activity.

When media contacted Dr. Inayat leading psychologist on this issue, he said, “ Children are in very tender age and what they see in this age, it leaves long impact on his mind and further more spending long hours on internet can ruin physical health also like impact on eyes, neck and overall weight of the body .”

While as he also added that it can lead to ID-that is uncontrollable behaviour among the children.

Meanwhile most of the parents blamed that the school authorities are least concerned about the ethics of students and more about the tuition fees.
