More than 20 more employees likely terminate in Jammu and Kashmir


New Delhi, Ground Report : More than 20 more employees ; The Jammu and Kashmir administration, which has fired 18 employees for their involvement in anti-national and terrorist activities, has prepared a list of about two dozen more employees, who may be shown the way out in the coming weeks.

Sources said that the names of 2-3 big officers are also included in this list. Intelligence agencies are investigating their files and soon they too can be fired.

The Deccan Herald quoted sources as saying that intelligence agencies have gathered evidence of the employees on the list being involved in anti-national activities.

Screenshots of his involvement in anti-national campaigns on social media have also been attached to the files.

According to the information, intelligence agencies were constantly monitoring the activities of these employees. Fearing job loss, many of them have now deleted their social media accounts.

On July 10, Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had ordered the removal of 11 employees.

These employees included two sons of terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen leader Syed Salahuddin and two police constables.

Officials said the sacked employees were from education, police, skill development, agriculture, electricity, health departments, and Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS). They were fired for supporting terrorism and having links with terrorists.

Even before this, the Jammu and Kashmir administration had fired seven people, including a Naib Tehsildar, an Assistant Professor, and two teachers.

All of them are accused of being involved in anti-national activities. These employees have been dismissed under Article 311 of the Constitution.

Under this there is no inquiry and the aggrieved employees can only appeal against the decision to the High Court.

The administration has tightened the rules for new government recruitments. Now all the employees will be verified by CID before the appointment.

During this period, if the employee is found involved in anti-national or anti-social activities, then his appointment can be stopped. (More than 20 more employees)

This is not the first time that government employees are being fired due to anti-national activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

When President’s rule was imposed here in 1990, the employees who were fired included the name of Naeem Akhtar, who later became a minister in the PDP-BJP government.

After this, many employees were fired in 1995 and 2016 as well. Some of these were later restored.
