SKIMS Candidates demand release of selection lists
Srinagar, Nov 13 : Despite the passage of over one year the SKIMS has failed to complete the selection process of the various posts in the institute.
A group of candidates who have been provisionally selected for various posts of THEATER /OT Assistant, Cleaners, Draftsman (civil) on Saturday accused the SKIMS of resorting to inordinate delay to issue the final selection list of the candidates.
They said the recruitment comes under fast-track recruitment process as announced by the government on basis of which the whole selection process was supposed to get completed within few months.
“ But more than two years have passed since the recruitment notification was issued by the SKIMS in 2019 and the final selection list is still awaited,” the agitated candidates said.
“ The Written examination was held in month of Feb in 2020 and shortlisted candidates were called for interview in month of August and September last year, but the SKIMS is delaying the completion of process leaving aspirants distressed,” the candidates said.
More than 50 representations were submitted by the candidates to the authorities to consider their grievance against the provisional selection list.
“ We appeal the Governor of J&K for his personal intervention into the matter so that he may direct the SKIMS to expedite the process,” the candidates said.
Meanwhile, College Administrative Office said that the final list has been submitted to the director’s office.
“ The process is in its final stage and candidates should remain patient,” he said.
