School teacher among JKSSRB employee In Fraud Case
Jammu,Dec 05 : Crime Branch Jammu on Saturday produced a charge-sheet in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Poonch for judicial determination against a government teacher and a JKSSRB employee in a fraud case.
A spokesperson of Crime Branch Jammu stated that the charge-sheet was filed against Sumit Gill, son of Jagdish Kumar, a resident of Ward No 2, Mohalla Kamsar, district Poonch and the co-accused late Mohammed Sajjad, son of Bagh Hussain, a resident of Mohalla Qasaayain in district Poonch in a case FIR No 28/2018 U/S 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B, 201/RPC at Police Station Crime Branch Jammu
The case was registered by Crime Branch Jammu after allegations for their involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy in forging a document (marks sheet of class 12) and using it for the purpose of securing a job as a government teacher were prima facie established during a preliminary enquiry.
“ The case was registered by Crime Branch on receipt of the complaint lodged by one Yogesh Kumar, son of Kalu Ram, a resident of Ward No 2, Mohalla Kamsar, tehsil Haveli, district Poonch to the effect that the accused who was working as a teacher in Government Middle School Salotri zone Kanuyian, district Poonch, had obtained his job on the basis of class 12 qualification with 370 marks out of 600 marks.
The eligibility for class 12 students at that time was 50 percent marks in the examination, whereas the accused had actually scored 274 marks out of 600 which were less than the required percentage,” the spokesperson added.
