Atleast 70 Students Tested Positive for Covid-19 In Kashmir
At least 70 students in Jammu Kashmir scheduled to participate in annual winter games in the famous health resort of Gulmarg have tested positive for COVID-19.
Officials on Thursday said that all the samples of all the participants of the winter games were taken.
“ Out of them, 70 students have tested Covid positive,” he said.
Jammu Kashmir is witnessing a sharp rise in the number of Covid positive cases.
On Wednesday the daily cases crossed the mark of 1,695 for the first time since June 2021.
The Srinagar city saw the maximum number of positive cases at 320 followed by Baramulla district in North Kashmir with 250 positive cases.
The Omicron variant has also been detected in the region. Around 23 cases have been found in just two days.
