Ensure success of ‘My School, My Pride’ program : DSEK to officials

Srinagar, April 19 : The School Education Department has asked the Heads of Educational Institutions (HEIs) of Kashmir to make the cleanliness programme ‘My School, My Pride’ a success by spending school funds, community donations and alumni contributions.

Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Tassaduq Hussain Mir said, “It is impressed upon the Heads of all Educational Institutions (HEIs) to make the programme ‘My School, My Pride’ a success and to cover all schools in the campaign mode.”

“ The expenses for this exercise can be met out of school local funds, community donations and alumni contributions,” the director said.

In a circular issued earlier by the department, the director said, “School is our second home. It is a family of several families. The Head of the Institution is the head of this family, all teachers are respected elders and all students are loving brothers and sisters.”

He said that a school establishes a concrete foundation of knowledge and wisdom in tender brains. “Thus it is the prime duty of all of us to keep this holy place clean and tidy and also to hold it in high esteem.”

The director further said that a full-fledged programme ‘My School My Pride’ has been launched by the School Education Department for this purpose and all stakeholders need to participate in it with full zeal and zest.

“ Clean School is one of the key features of National Education Policy-2020 and cleanliness and tidiness are the important components in the behavioral aspects of Education of Children,” he said.(RisingKashmir)
