World No Tobacco Day Celebrated at SPS Sankoo, Kargil
KARGIL, 31 MAY:-
World no Tabacco day was Celebrated at Sankoo Public School Sankoo on Wednesday under this year’s theme " We need food, not Tobacco"
This Program was organised by Block Medical officer Sankoo and RBSK Team from CHC Sankoo.
The objective was to promote awareness about the detrimental effects of tobacco use and advocate for policies aimed at reducing its consumption.
On this occasion Dr Syed Abul Hassan, Medical Officer, Dr Mohammad Ali Medical officer, and RBSK Concerned officials, Principal SPS, teaching staff's and a large numbers of students were also present.
Speaking on the ill effect tobacco on health,Dr Syed Abul Hassan Medical officer informed that cigarette smoking causes lungs and stomach cancers and use of tobacco in any form causes great damage to health.
Dr Mohd Ali interacted with students and highlighted the importance of awareness regarding tobacco’s health hazards.
Principal of the school also addressed the students about the impact of tobacco on the human respiratory system, tobacco as the killer and its effects on yout
The programme ended with an oath taking ceremony in which the Doctors, Students, Teaching Staff took pledge against tobacco consumption.
