‘Beyond The White Coat’ – authored by a medical student released at SKIE Classes


Srinagar, June 25: ‘Beyond The White Coat’ – the book authored by Umer Ashraf – a determined and passionate individual who is currently pursuing his MBBS at SKIMS Medical College Bemina was released at SKIE Classes Srinagar today in the presence of students and renowned dignitaries.
  
 Those who were present on the book release include Khawaja Nazir Ahmed Qureshi – Director Land Records, Prof Muhammad Tufail Banday – Dean Veterinary Sciences & Animal and Husbandry SKUAST, Prof Shoib Kamil – Dean Library Science, Prof Dr Reyaz Ahmed Malik – HoD Pediatric SKIMS, Dr Roshan Ara -HoD Womens Studies Kashmir University, Mahroof Ahmed Shah – Deputy Director Sheep and Animal Husbandry, Mehmood-ur-Rehman – Senior Editor Columnist GK, Asif Iqbal – Chairman Human Peace, Mr Rafi former Deputy Commissioner and Fazil Zahoor.
   
Speaking on the occasion the speakers said that hard work has no substitute and students should not limit themselves to a particular subject. They said there are the number of options for students and they can think beyond medical profession.
   
Director SKIE Classes Mr Saddam said that it is the responsibility of every individual to work for nation-building. “We must contribute towards society. This is the only way we as a community can rise up,” he said.
  
 Umer Ashraf the author of the book said that his experiences have shaped him into a resilient and empathetic individual. He has learnt the value of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of compassion in the medical field.
   
The book talks about the journey of a medical student.
