Recruitment process to begin soon, no compromise on merit: CS
Srinagar, July 03: Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta on Wednesday said that the recruitment process will be started soon and that there will be no compromise on merit.
“At least 28000 people have been recruited in a fair way. Nobody can even raise a finger on the recruitment process as the recruitment has been done purely on merit basis,” Mehta said.
He added that the recruitment process was delayed for some time after some complaints and now will be started again.
Reacting to the issue of Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) job aspirants, the Chief Secretary said that they are waiting for a report in this regard and further steps will be taken in this regard once the report is received.
After chairing 10th Union Territory level Bankers meeting, he said that a self employment programme has been started through which one lakh youth will be provided assistance for self employment.
Furthermore, he said J&K at present is one of the best in the country in terms of cashless the UT is 85% cashless and the programme has been started here to increase it to 95%.CNI
