Hailing from a background devoid of formal education, Faizan encountered numerous obstacles on his path to success. Growing up in the vibrant yet economically disadvantaged neighborhood of Chattabal, he personally witnessed the struggles faced by his illiterate parents.
Undeterred by his circumstances, Faizan drew strength from his parents' unwavering determination and resolved to chart his own course in life.
Faizan's educational journey commenced with a bachelor's degree in commerce from Delhi University. During this time, his passion for the legal field blossomed, leading him to pursue a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Following three years of dedicated legal practice, Faizan's ambition propelled him to pursue a master's degree in Law (LLM) from Queen Mary University of London.
Armed with his formidable educational qualifications, Faizan set his sights on the esteemed UK civil services. Determined and undeterred, he embarked on a rigorous selection process for the position of Legal Advisor. This arduous journey involved navigating through initial sifting, competency rounds, and demanding interviews.
Today, Faizan Nazir proudly serves as a Legal Advisor at Ofgem (Office of Gas and Electricity Markets), playing a pivotal role in the regulation of the energy market in Great Britain.
