The Kashmir University has released an updated selection notification, marked as Notification No. 12 of 2023, for the admissions to PG and 3-Year LL.B. programmes under the Self-Finance seat quota. This selection is based purely on the merit achieved by candidates in the Kashmir University Entrance Test-2023. Additionally, candidates' preferences mentioned during the submission of their online application forms for the self-finance seats were also considered.

Crucial Considerations:

The university administration has put forth essential conditions that the Head, Director, and Principals of the concerned Departments, Campuses, and affiliated Colleges, who serve as Chairpersons of Departmental Admission Committees, must ensure. These conditions encompass the verification of minimum required eligibility, including passing the qualifying examination and possessing valid category certificates issued on or before 10th May 2023. It's emphasized that no authority slip will be issued if candidates possess certificates issued after this date.

Admission Criteria:

The admission process for the provisionally selected candidates is governed by a set of criteria:

1. Submission of relevant original documents, including marks cards of qualifying examinations, character certificates, provisional certificates from the last attended institution, and migration certificates.

2. Production of eligibility cum revival of registration/migration forms where applicable, along with the prescribed fee.

3. Fulfillment of minimum required eligibility criteria as verified by the concerned Department.

4. Clearance sought from the Academic Section for candidates who have qualified from private or affiliated Universities/Institutions.

5. NOC (No Objection Certificate) required from the concerned Department for in-service candidates.

6. Sworn affidavit attested by a 1st Class Judicial/Executive Magistrate affirming adherence to university regulations and acknowledging the consequences of misinformation or indiscipline.

Admission Formalities:

Provisionally selected candidates need to download their online Admission Forms from the official University of Kashmir website. Subsequently, they must approach the Head, Director, or Principal of the respective Campus/College for obtaining the authority slip before depositing the required Admission Fee. The fee must be submitted, along with relevant original certificates and self-attested Xerox copies of documents, in the office of the concerned Departments/Institutions/Campus.

Deadline and Important Information:

Candidates should note that fee payment will be accepted only at any FINACLE branch of J&K Bank upon presenting the authority slip from the respective Head/Director/Coordinator/Principal. Failure to complete admission formalities by 29th August 2023 will result in the forfeiture of admission rights, and any resultant vacancies will be filled from the waiting list.

Directors and Principals are reminded to submit vacancy lists by 05:15 PM on the last date of admission formalities. It's pertinent to mention that all notifications will be exclusively available on the University's official website, with no notices published in print media.
