  • The Mechanical Engineering Department (MED) Kashmir is fully prepared for snow clearance, with a mock drill already conducted and all men and machinery on standby.
  • Around 300 machines are stationed across the valley, with over 40 machines dedicated to snow clearance in district Srinagar alone.
  • Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has directed all departments to mobilize resources and ensure a prompt response to any emergency situations arising from the snowfall.

  • To minimize road damage during snow clearance, high-tech snow clearance machines with plastic cartilage snow blades have been procured.
