Ghulam Hassan Sheikh Takes Charge as JKBOSE Secretary, Pledges Exam Integrity
SRINAGAR: Ghulam Hassan Sheikh has officially taken over as the Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), succeeding Sudershan Kumar. Upon assuming office, Sheikh chaired an introductory meeting with senior Board officials to assess pressing issues requiring immediate attention.
During the meeting, it was noted that Annual Regular Examinations for Classes 10, 11, and 12 are currently underway across both Hard and Soft Zone areas of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The newly appointed Secretary emphasised the importance of maintaining strict surveillance at examination centres to ensure fairness and adequate facilities for students. “A positive and compassionate approach towards students will enhance their performance,” he stated.
To reinforce exam integrity, Sheikh held an online meeting with officers of JKBOSE’s Sub and Branch Offices, directing them to ensure smooth and transparent conduct of exams. He also conducted a virtual interaction with Chief Education Officers across all districts, seeking their cooperation in upholding examination standards.
Later, the Secretary visited various sections of the JKBOSE Divisional Office in Jammu, including evaluation halls, where he interacted with staff and examiners. Stressing the significance of fair assessment, he urged examiners to handle answer sheet evaluations with the utmost care and caution, as it plays a crucial role in shaping students’ academic futures.
Sheikh reiterated that exam integrity remains the top priority and assured that all necessary measures will be taken to uphold transparency in the evaluation process. (Kashmir Life)
