Dearness Allowance Revised for J&K Government Employees – New Rate from Jan 2025
The Finance Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has officially revised the Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees. As per Government Order No. 155-F of 2025, DA has been increased from 53% to 55% of Basic Pay, with effect from January 1, 2025.

What is Basic Pay?
According to the 7th Pay Commission structure, Basic Pay refers to the pay drawn in the prescribed level in the Pay Matrix. It excludes any additional components like special pay or allowances.
Payment Details:
Arrears for the DA increase (Jan–May 2025) will be credited in cash during June 2025.
From June 2025 onward, the increased DA will be added to the monthly salary.
As per standard practice, any fractions of 50 paise and above will be rounded up to the next rupee, while anything below 50 paise will be ignored.
