The Junior Assistant (JA) and Stenographer exams are designed to evaluate a candidate's proficiency in several core areas. The exams will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for both positions, and Stenographer candidates will also have practical tests (typing and shorthand).

5. Typing & Stenography (for Stenographer Candidates) (25 Marks)
  • Typing Speed Test: A minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute in English (or as per the specific requirements) will be evaluated.
  • Shorthand Test: A dictation will be given, and the candidate will have to transcribe it accurately in the specified time frame.

Exam Paper Pattern & Duration

Junior Assistant (JA):

 Total Marks: 100

 Duration: 2 Hours

 Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

  Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

Stenographer:
  •  Total Marks: 100 (including Typing & Shorthand tests)
  •  Duration: 2.5 Hours (or as specified by the official notification)
  •  Type: MCQs, Typing Test, and Shorthand Test
  •  Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

Important Information
  • Paper Pattern: Both exams will have MCQs, but the Stenographer exam will also include practical typing and shorthand tests.
