Transfers & Postings of College Principals 2025 Announced in J&K – Full College-Wise List
The Higher Education Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, has officially issued Government Order No. 508-JK(HE) of 2025 dated 29 December 2025, announcing large-scale transfers and postings of Principals and assignment of In-Charge Principals across Government Degree Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir.
The order has been released in the interest of administration and is effective immediately, as notified by the department.

- Sudhir Singh transferred to Government Degree College Samba
- Jaipal Singh posted to Government Degree College Doongi
- Haris Izhar Tantray transferred as Principal, SP College Srinagar
- Masood Ahmad Malik relieved from GCW Anantnag
- Mohd Hussain Malik transferred to Government Degree College Pattan
- Shamim Ahmed Azad transferred to Government Degree College Nowshera
- Faroog Ahmed transferred to Government Degree College Thannamandi
- Mudasir Afshan posted to Government Degree College Awantipora
📌 All postings are against available vacancies and are purely administrative.
Additional Charge of Principal Posts
As per the order:
- Principal, Amar Singh College Srinagar will also hold charge of
Government Degree College Allochi Bagh
- Principal, SP College Srinagar will additionally hold charge of
Government Degree College Bagh-e-Dilawar Khan
