Rain, Thunderstorms Ahead MeT Releases Fresh Weather Advisory for Jammu & Kashmir



Srinagar, July 19: A spell of heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected to affect most parts of the Jammu Division from tomorrow morning. The risk of landslides, mudslides, flash floods, and cloudbursts is #extremely high, particularly in vulnerable areas.

In the Kashmir Valley heavy rainfall is also expected tomorrow morning in several areas, especially South Kashmir, while few parts of Central and North Kashmir may also witness intense downpours.

The most critical period for Jammu & Kashmir will be on 21 and 22 July when the weather is expected to be at its worst.

Around 14 deaths have already been reported today, and property worth crores of rupees has been damaged. The situation is becoming increasingly serious.
