Protest of students on getting question paper out of syllabus in political science exam

University of Kashmir has canceled the exam on time, next dates will be announced separately / Officials

Srinagar: October 21 -  In view of the protest of the students on receiving a question paper outside the syllabus, the Kashmir University authorities have canceled the political science paper of the undergraduate third semester.

According to CNI, the Kashmir University authorities today had to cancel the political science paper of the undergraduate third semester at the exact time when the students raised an uproar over the extra-curricular questions in the examination paper.

It is learned that chaos broke out as the examination staff released the third semester political science question paper in the examination halls on Friday afternoon as students complained that it was out of syllabus.

A student appearing for the exam said that there is not a single question in the paper from the syllabus that was taught to us.

After which the examination center superintendents started calling the university authorities to convey their concerns. No one listened to us for more than an hour.

Some students alleged that the question paper was set according to the 2018 syllabus which was updated in 2021.

After a massive uproar, the students said they were informed by the college authorities that the said examination paper had been canceled by Kashmir University and would be conducted afresh.

We don't know why it always happens with Kashmir University that question papers are set apart from the syllabus.

"The notice issued by the Deputy Controller of Examinations of the University of Kashmir confirmed the development and said that the fresh date of the examination will be notified separately.
