Winter Vacations extended till 17th January for all Government and Private Schools falling in Summer Zone areas

In continuation to this office order No. 16-DSEJ-2026 dated 11-01-2026, issued vide endorsement No. DSEJ/GEN/2703-36 dated 11-01-2026 on the subject, and in view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions, it is hereby ordered that the Winter Vacations for all Government and Private Schools falling in Summer Zone shall stand extended till 17-01-2026. 

The vacation shall be applicats to both teaching staff and students. However, the Board Examinations for Classe 10th to 12th shall be conducted strictly as per the notified schedule, if any.

Moreover, the schools shall explore the possibilities of conducting online classes from Classes 6th onwards.

It is further ordered that the preparation for Republic Day-2026 shall be conducted strictly as per the schedule notified by the competent authorities. (Director School Education Jammu)
