Students of GDC Zanskar Flagged Off for Exposure Tour to Kerala under PM-USHA Gender Equity Scheme
Leh, February 04: Students of Government Degree College (GDC) Zanskar flagged off from Leh today for a 09-day Exposure Tour to Kerala under the PM-USHA Gender Equity Scheme, District Kargil. A total of 28 students, accompanied by two faculty members, are participating in the tour.
The flag-off event was graced by the presence of Ms. Bhanu Prabha, IAS, Secretary Higher Education, along with Mr. Nawang Tundup, Registrar, University of Ladakh, Dr. Tsewang Motup, Dean College Development Council, UoL, Dr. Sameena Iqbal, State Coordinator PM-USHA, Ms. Stanzin Yangdol Principal EJM College and Dr. Amjad Ali Abbassi, Principal GMDC Zanskar.
Addressing the students, Ms. Bhanu Prabha, IAS, congratulated them for being selected for the exposure tour and encouraged them to explore and learn about the history and culture of the places they visit. She emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and polite behaviour, stating that the students would be representing Ladakh as ambassadors during their journey.
The students expressed their gratitude to the Secretary Higher Education and PM-USHA Scheme for organizing and supporting the educational tour, calling it a valuable opportunity for learning and personal growth. (Ladakh Himalayan News)
