Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized board.

Domicile Requirement

Applicants must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid domicile certificate issued on or before 17 February 2026.

Age Limit (As on 01-01-2025)

• General & Reserved Categories: 18 to 28 years

• In-Service Police Personnel: Up to 30 years

• Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per rules after deducting service period

Candidates must not be born after 01-01-2007.

Application Fee

• General Category: ₹700

• SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / EWS: ₹600

The fee must be paid online only through net banking, debit card, or credit card. The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection process for JKSSB Constable posts consists of the following stages:

• Written Examination (Objective type with negative marking)

• Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualifying

• Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Qualifying
• Medical Examination

• Document Verification

Candidates holding NCC certificates are eligible for bonus marks as per government norms.

Physical Standards & Endurance (Summary)

• Male Candidates: Height 5’6”, chest standards applicable

• Female Candidates: Height 5’2”

• Physical Tests: Long race, push-ups (males), shot put (females)

• Relaxation: Available for Gorkha, Bot Tribe, and Ex-Servicemen categories
